Brian C. Powers founded the Law Offices of Brian C. Powers in January of 1981, now known as Powers • McNalis • Torres • Teebagy • Luongo, Attorneys at Law. His West Palm Beach practice concentrated in the areas of insurance litigation, fraud, bad faith, appeals, liability defense, environmental litigation, construction litigation, commercial litigation and subrogation. Mr. Powers attended University of Miami for both undergraduate and law school, having graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 1977.
Formerly an associate with the law firm of Layhan, Eisenberg in Chicago, Illinois from July 1977 to December 1980, Mr. Powers concentrated on first party insurance litigation. Mr. Powers then elected to return to his native Florida and establish his own practice.
Mr. Powers is a Certified Mediator and brings more than 25 years litigation experience to the mediation table. He blends his litigation experience with his mediation training and experience to issues relating to the sensitive handling of conflicts.
Mr. Powers is licensed to practice law in the states of Illinois (1977) and Florida (1979). He is a member of the Trial Bar of the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern District of Florida. He is admitted to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Powers is a past Director of the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention. He is a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Palm Beach County Claims Association.
