Ms. Luongo joined the firm in 2003 after relocating from practicing law in Massachusetts and became a firm Partner in 2006. She is an experienced civil litigator whose practice group concentrates in multi-million dollar first party commercial property large losses involving collapse, construction/builders’ risk, catastrophe and bad faith for coverage evaluations, claims investigation and litigation defense. Her practice specializes in issues prevalent in complex commercial losses including fraud and misrepresentation, business interruption, multiple losses, co-insurance and deductible application, contribution/indemnity, law and ordinance and concurrent causation to name a few.
After receiving her J.D. from New England School of Law in 1992, Ms. Luongo practiced as a solo litigation practitioner in Massachusetts. Ms. Luongo’s primary concentration areas were Personal Injury, Family Law, Employment Law and Residential Real Estate until becoming licensed in Florida in 2002.
After first relocating to Florida, Ms. Luongo was with the Palm Beach County School Board, SACC program (School Age Child Care), as an Assistant Director in a local elementary school. Ms. Luongo’s work included development and implementation of the SACC curriculum; financial budgets and management; staff supervision, training and evaluation; development and enforcement of discipline/behavioral codes and serving as liaison between school administrators and staff, parents and students.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Luongo served as Manager of Broadcast Business Affairs for a major Boston advertising agency negotiating entertainment contracts for scale and celebrity talent, rights and permissions licensing, television commercial production contracts, applying and interpreting collective bargaining agreements and having oversight of television/radio production cost-plus bids and expenditures. Ms. Luongo acted as agency liaison and was a guest instructor for the Advertising Club of Greater Boston.
Ms. Luongo also previously served as adjunct faculty for a community college paralegal certificate program in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Ms. Luongo began her education in New York city attending the Fashion Institute of Technology as an Advertising and Communications major. After receiving her Associate in Applied Science degree in 1980, she continued her education in Boston, MA. Attending Emerson College as an undergraduate, Ms. Luongo received her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating cum laude in Mass Communications in 1982. Ms. Luongo continued to her graduate studies in Communications Management at Simmons College in Boston, graduating with her Master of Science degree in 1985. Ms. Luongo ultimately pursued her Juris Doctor at New England School of Law in Boston, graduating with Dean’s List honors in 1992.
Ms. Luongo is admitted to the bars of the State of Florida, U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern and Districts of Florida, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Luongo is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, South Florida Claims Association, Florida Federal Bar Association and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Ms. Luongo is also an active member of the American Bar Association, Loss Executives Association and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. Ms. Luongo has also been an attendee and speaker for Windstorm Insurance Network.
Ms. Luongo was formerly an active member of the Florida Bar Association’s Federal Court Practice Committee, DRI (Defense Research Institute) and it’s Insurance Law Committee as well as the Massachusetts Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association and North Shore Women Lawyers Association.
PUBLICATIONS AND LECTURES
Ms. Luongo has participated in and has been a frequent lecturer and writer for industry conferences, continuing education programs and other forums. Lecture and paper topics include insurance coverage issues, claims handling, appraisal, Florida Condominium Act, fraud investigation, and civil litigation including Federal Rules of Procedure.

Ms. Luongo was an active volunteer in a youth travel baseball organization serving as secretary/treasurer for a local West Palm Beach travel baseball team. Ms. Luongo previously served for Big Sister/Greater Boston and on the Board of Directors, Executive Board for Wellington Youth Baseball. Ms Luongo is recognized by the School District of Palm Beach County/Volunteers in Public Schools program.
